The pumpkin season is in full swing, and I am here for it. The thrill of all things spooky is just unbeatable.
I have had my Halloween mugs out since late August. Because why not?
It’s, after all, the best time of the year. And I want you to soak up all Halloween has to offer. I want you to lean into everything cozy and creepy that Halloween brings.
And how exactly can you do that? By creating a Halloween bucket list.
Whether you’re in the mood for soft and cozy or full-on spooky, there’s something here for you.
These 66 Halloween bucket list ideas will help you celebrate Halloween in style. Whether you’re doing it with friends and family or flying solo, there are activities here for everyone.
And yep, I’ve got a freebie for you: a cute printable bucket list ( one filled out and one blank so you can make it your own). You can grab them down below.

Halloween Bucket List:
- Watch Hocus Pocus in pajamas with a fuzzy blanket. Better yet, do a Halloween spooky movie marathon.
2. Host a pumpkin carving night with friends. Remember, it’s more about the Halloween snacks and the laughter than the carving skills. (We all know someone’s carving is bound to collapse.)
3. Visit a haunted house. Or a real haunted place. You might need to travel a little, but seeing one in person will be cool. You can even book an overnight stay at a haunted motel.
4. Create a Halloween tablescape. This is an excellent option if you’re not up to decorating your whole house..
5. Host a “Witchy Wine Night” with tarot cards, Ouija board, snacks, and wine.

6. Re-watch the Harry Potter series.
7. Bake ghost-shaped cookies.
8. If you haven’t already, binge-watch Wednesday on Netflix.
9. Try to make a DIY spooky Halloween wreath and hang it on your door.
10. Go on a ghost tour in your town.

11. Cook a Fall-themed or specifically a Halloween-themed dinner with family or friends and enjoy it over a spooky movie or TV show.
12. Give yourself a Halloween manicure with themed nail art.
13. Create a simple but spooky corner in your house with books and candles. This could be your cozy reading nook this Fall.
14. Do some coloring on Halloween-themed coloring pages.
15. Host a Halloween happy hour. Get your friends and family together or over Zoom and drink some spooky cocktails.
16. Do a “31 Days of Spooky” movie challenge. If you see these too late, go for 14 or 7 days.
17. Visit a pumpkin patch and pick out a few perfect pumpkins.
18. Create a fun Halloween charcuterie board with interesting choices that give all the spooky vibes.
19. Make a Halloween slime. It is weirdly soothing, even if you’re 34 and child-free.

21. Make and take a Halloween-themed bath: black bath bomb, candlelight, and a spooky playlist.
22. Do a cemetery photo walk. Please be respectful.
23. Read popular witchy novels or a cozy mystery. Nothing like a fictional small-town murder to get you in that spooky energy.

25. Write a simple letter to your future self to open next Halloween. Include what you’re currently loving, fearing, and manifesting.

26. Play a murder mystery game with friends.

38. Attend at least one Halloween festival in your town. It can be a pumpkin carving contest, hayrides, or even a haunted house.
39. Try apple bobbing. Fill a tub with water and apples, and see who can grab the most apples from the tub using only their mouths.
